What is Circadia?

Circadia was developed by Psychotherapist Taylor Thomas, MA, LPC, LSOTP, CTS and award winning Composer/Producer Brooks Paschal as the new standard in meditative music. Using deliberate soundscapes and focal points, this experience can assist in alleviating symptoms of stress and anxiety, as well as being used as an environment for meditation and sleep.

What Makes Circadia Work?

Circadia uses a unique, three layer system called "Horizon Undercurrent & Timepiece". Created by Thomas to achieve a more specific meditative state, these compositions combine three designed functions.

The Horizon: The Horizon is the grandest of the soundscapes. Mainly consisting of customized pad synths created by Paschal to immerse the listener in the desired state of mind.

The Undercurrent: High Fidelity Stereo recordings of ambient sounds, this subliminal layer is composed to help the mind escape from the front pages of their thoughts. In conjunction with the other 2 layers, The Undercurrent is the least noticeable, but arguably the most effective in reaching optimum relaxation.

The Timepiece: The most important layer of all, The Timepiece is the center point of Circadia. Listeners are encouraged to focus on this layer, which eventually will allow for a full departure from the chaos of your conscious and help you arrive at serenity. This layer primarily consists of piano pieces composed by Paschal under the direction of Thomas. These compositions vary in tempo, cadence, and key specifically designed to decompress, calm, and inspire.

When Can I Listen To Circadia?

This is what makes circadia so special. Unlike other meditative music or sounds, Circadia is designed to give you, the listener, the power to make the music work the way you want it to. While some find certain "Episodes" uplifting and empowering, others may find those episodes just what they need to deescalate from a frantic day. The Timepiece allows you to navigate through your thoughts, at your pace. From studying, sleeping, and even working out, Circadia is a daily must for the busy-body in all of us.
